An Unhurried Tarry

Why does Christ tarry in His return, dear Father? With all of the horrors and heartbreaks happening in every corner of creation, would it not be best for Him to return and make all things new? Grow in us daily a desire to see the face of our risen Lord arriving to call us home. May our desire to see others come to know Him not lessen our desire or anticipation for His return, but rather may that growing anticipation kindle in us greater desires to see more people come to know Him. We know not fully what Christ’s return will be like, Father. But, we thank You that it shall be far better than we could ever imagine. All this we pray in the name of the One who is coming quickly. Amen.
